The Tulsi is the most sacred plant that we worship because of its connection to Lord Vishnu. The plant, also called the Tulasi, is thought to be the physical manifestation of the goddess Tulsi, a devout follower of Lord Krishna. The Tulsi also shares this importance with him because he is one of the most significant gods in the Indian deity.

At one’s home, the plant is typically given its own location, preferably in the main courtyard. The Tulsi Vrindavan, a stone building constructed to hold the plant, is frequently adorned with pictures of Lord Vishnu and his various manifestations, including Krishna and Vithoba.

The Tulsi plant is thought to be an absolute requirement in the home for everyone who wants to live a wealthy and serene life since it is closely associated with another Goddess, Lakshmi.

Tulsi comes in two varieties: Rama Tulsi, which is brighter, and Shyama Tulsi, which is a little bit darker. The Shyama Tulsi is more strongly linked to Krishna because of its dark purple leaves, which are thought to reflect his skin tone.

The Tulsi is the main component of many traditional therapies and is also well recognised for its medicinal properties.
