Health Benefits Of Snake Fruit

The snake fruit, sometimes called salak fruit, is a scaly and thorny fruit with a light to dark red skin. When peeled, it may resemble a garlic clove and have a size that is comparable to that of figs. The salak fruit’s outer texture can be removed by pinching it at one end to expose the three lobes that are typically inside; each of these lobes contains one inedible seed. There are similarities between the lobes.

Due to its deliciousness, the flesh surrounding these seeds is typically swallowed. Depending on the fruit’s ripeness and variety, snake fruits typically have an acidic, sweet, and/or sweet flavor. They can also have an apple-like texture. Some fruit varietals might have a flaky texture and be dryer. In addition to being eaten as fruit, snake fruits are also used to make wine, drinks, and candies.
