Lal bahadur Shastri had not told his mother that he was a railway minister.

Was told that “I work in railway”.

He once attended a Railway function where his mother also attended and inquired as to whether his son was also a member of the Railway.

People took her in front of Lal Bahadur Shastriji and asked, “Is this is your son?

So the mother said “yes he is my son.”

Shastri ji then summoned his mother, spent some time with her, and then sent her home.
Therefore, the journalists questioned, “Why didn’t you make a speech in front of her?”

I am a clergyman, but my mum is unaware of this. She will start recommending individuals if she finds out, and I won’t be able to say no. She will be conceited as well.

The response stunned everyone in attendance. We will constantly strive to be better than the late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji. Where did those unselfish, meek, and honest people go?
