Megasthenes a Greek historian gave a word called Indika, which describes how Bharat was 2300 years ago. He says that lending was unknown in Bharat!. In manners, he says, People of Bharat are simple and frugal, though they like ornaments. “Indians dislike mobs and consequently they observe good order.” He also mentioned in his works the characteristics of our ancestors; that they were highly virtuous, they never knew to tell lies and they would never wish to appropriate other people’s properties. we genuinely wish our people had remained the same as they were 2300 years ago!.
