Why do people say it isn’t safe to shower after eating?

Some assert that it is unsafe to take a shower just after eating since doing so can produce vasovagal syncope, a condition marked by a sharp decrease in blood pressure brought on by the body’s reaction to triggers like standing up soon after eating. The heart rate slows and the person may feel dizzy, queasy, or even lose consciousness during vasovagal syncope. This is the reason it’s advised to wait 30 minutes after eating before having a shower or doing anything else that calls for a fast stand.
