Hanuman Pol, who was transported to Kumbhalgarh during the Nagaur siege, is also noteworthy. Tope Khana Pol, or the artillery entrance, sits at the top of a tortuous climb through these gates. Nimboo Pol, a quieter entrance to the lemon orchards, is located further on. Grand palaces and zenanas were layered inside the defences, with a Badal Mahal at the top. It was the site of illustrious wars, sieges, allegiances, and betrayals; but, the fort’s most crucial feature, water security, eventually failed, and it was abandoned.
