Another strange and interesting tidbit we’re sure you didn’t know is that Caesar dressing is actually a vinaigrette. It’s made by putting minced garlic and anchovies in a bowl and mixing it with raw egg. The remaining ingredients (lime juice, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard) are added in as the olive oil is gradually added to the mixture.The final colour of the dressing should be yellow, not the artificial white variety seen in supermarkets.

Avocados are fruit

Avocados are a berry with a big seed that is classed as a berry. Avocados must be plucked when fully ripe, which can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Avocados are known as “alligator pears” in Spain and Mexico due to their form and rough, green exterior, whereas they are known as “butter pears” in India and China. Hot dogs

It is unknown where the hot dog came from. Some say it was created in the Austrian city of Vienna by two Austro-Hungarian immigrants who brought the recipe to Chicago with them.
