Can It Rain Fish?

Although it is unusual for fish to fall from the sky, this unusual weather phenomena is probable. Strong air disturbances, such as tornadoes, can raise water and fish into the air, which is the best explanation for this strange event. The tornado can then carry them for a long distance.

As the tornado weakens, its force is no longer capable of lifting anything off the ground, and it begins to rain fish. This is sometimes known as “animal rainfall,” however it’s most commonly referred to as “raining fish.”

Tornadoes are powerful winds that swirl around themselves. The tornado’s inside, known as the vortex, is filled with calm air. The outer air rises and circles the serene core. Because the air at the bottom of the tornado is constantly flowing upward, additional air is drawn up behind it. This attracts and propels objects beneath the tornado upward.
